Islamabad wins PAF T20 Blind Cricket Trophy title

ISLAMABAD, Nov 28 (APP):Islamabad secured a remarkable victory in the final of the PAF T-20 Blind Cricket Trophy 2025 (Grade-1), defeating Peshawar by 23 runs in a thrilling contest here at the Shalimar Cricket Ground on Friday.
Peshawar won the toss and elected to field first. Islamabad capitalised on the opportunity, posting a mammoth total of 266/6 in 20 overs. Mati Ullah delivered a brilliant knock of 128 off 63 balls, while Anees Javed added an impressive 101 off 54 balls. For Peshawar, Haroon Khan claimed 2 wickets.
Chasing a challenging target, Peshawar put up a spirited fight but ultimately fell short, managing 243/6 in 20 overs, finishing 23 runs behind. Sana Ullah Khan top-scored with 65 off 34 balls and Haroon Khan contributed a rapid 58 off 27 balls. For Islamabad, Sayyam Jahangir stood out with 2 wickets, while Anees Javed and Fakhar Abbas claimed 1 wicket each. Mati Ullah was declared Man of the Match.
The final prize distribution ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Commodore Arshad Muhayyuddin (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz Military) Principal, Bahria College, Syed Sultan Shah, President, World Blind Cricket Ltd. & Chairman, Pakistan Blind Cricket Council, Syed M. Salman Bukhari, Director Marketing, PBCC Muhamamdd Bilal, Director Cricket Operations, PBCC, Muhammad Bilal, President, ICCB and Naveed Hussain Abbasi, General Secretary, ICCB. The guests presented trophies and individual awards to the players.
Player of the Tournament were B1 Category: Muhammad Asif (Peshawar); B2 Category: Anees Javed (Islamabad); B3 Category: Muhammad Safder (Multan) and Best Wicketkeeper: Atique-ur-Rehman (Gujranwala).
