ISLAMABAD, Oct 06 (APP):Huzaima Abdul Rehman and Rafay Tarar clinched the Category-A title at the Padelin Tournament in Lahore after defeating Abdullah Adnan and Salar Khan in a thrilling final on Monday.
The pair prevailed 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 in a gripping contest that kept spectators on edge till the last point.
Earlier, in the semifinals, Huzaima and Rafay overcame Azhar and Uzair 7-6, 6-3 to book their place in the final.
“This victory means a lot to us,” Huzaima told APP after the win. “We have been training hard over the past few months, and it feels great to see our efforts pay off in such a close match.”
Rafay said the final tested their nerves and teamwork. “Abdullah and Salar played exceptionally well. We had to stay calm and trust each other, especially in the deciding set,” he said.
The event featured top padel players from across the country, and produced highly competitive matches as the sport continues to gain popularity in Pakistan.
