ISLAMABAD, Nov 29 (APP): Dominik Palan of the Czech Republic and Denis Yevseyev of Kazakhstan clinched the doubles title of the Pakistan ATP Challenger Cup 2025 here at the PTF Tennis Complex.
The mega event is featuring 25 international players from Romania, Turkey, Ukraine, USA, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Australia, Italy, Bulgaria, Austria, Sweden, Georgia, Great Britain, and Switzerland, along with 10 top Pakistani players. This prestigious event marks a historic milestone, as it is being hosted in Pakistan for the very first time.
Elias Ymer of Sweden, currently ranked 169 in the ATP World/PIF Rankings, is the tournament’s top seed, while Jay Clarke of Great Britain, ranked 213, is the second seed.
In men’s doubles final, Dominik and Denis clinched the doubles title after defeating Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Muzammil Murtaza 7-6(3), 6-4 in an exciting final.
This match also marked the final ATP Challenger Tour appearance of Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi. Following the match, Aisam expressed heartfelt gratitude to the spectators for their tremendous support throughout the week and to the media for their exceptional coverage of the tournament.
The Pakistani duo’s appearance in the final marks the first time in Pakistan’s tennis history that a local pair has reached an ATP Challenger Tour doubles final a truly remarkable and historic achievement.
In men’s singles, semifinals, Mert Alkaya (TUR) beat Denis Yevseyev (KAZ) 6-7(7), 6-1, 6-3; Jay Clarke (GBR) beat Zach Stephens (GBR) 7-5, 6-3.
