ISLAMABAD, Jun 25 (APP): Pakistani cueist Mohammad Asif lost to Malaysia’s Thor Chun Leong in the semifinal of the Asian 6 Red and Team Snooker Championship 2025 Colombo, Sri Lanka.
According to details, Thor Chun Leong beat Asif by 2-5 (39-5, 4-59(35), 41-0, 62(35)-0, 1-43(35), 34(33)-25), 78(70)-0).
However Asif won a bronze medal in the Asian 6 Red Championship.
Meanwhile, the team championship will start on Thursday in which 16 teams from 13 countries will participate. Pakistan will play two team in the championship, Pakistan 1 includes Awais Munir and Muhammad Asif while Pakistan 2 comprise Shahid Aftab and Muhammad Sajjad.
In the team championship, 16 teams have been formed into four groups. Each team will play three matches after which the top two teams will qualify for the quarterfinals.
