Two killed, seven suspects arrested in five police encounters in Central District
KARACHI, Mar 30 (APP):Two suspects were killed and seven others, including three injured, were arrested during five alleged police encounters in different areas of District Central, SSP Central Dr Imran Khan said on Monday.
He identified the deceased as Muhammad Akbar, son of Muhammad Sadiq, and Farhad Ahmed Lodhi alias Seth, while those arrested included Babar, son of Abdul Jabbar, Nabeel, son of Badal Khan, Ahsan Malik, son of Naseer Ahmed Malik (injured), Hammad, son of Naeem-ur-Rehman, Asif, son of Ihsan Naseer, Zain-ul-Hassan alias Fauji and Salman, son of Ameer Bakhsh.
The SSP said the encounters took place within the limits of Bilal Colony, Rizvia, New Karachi Industrial Area and Khawaja Ajmer Nagri police stations, where suspects involved in street crimes and drug peddling were apprehended after exchanges of fire.
He added that weapons, narcotics, snatched mobile phones and motorcycles were recovered from the accused.The deceased and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police have registered cases against the suspects and initiated further investigation.
