Two alleged members of ‘Raju Gang’ held

Pakistan Rangers Sindh arrested two alleged members of the “Raju gang” involved in multiple incidents of robbery and street crime during an intelligence-based operation in the Quaidabad area.

KARACHI, Apr 06 (APP): Pakistan Rangers Sindh arrested two alleged members of the “Raju gang” involved in multiple incidents of robbery and street crime during an intelligence-based operation in the Quaidabad area.
According to a Rangers spokesperson on Monday, the arrested suspects were identified as Shahmeer Rasheed alias Meer, son of Abdul Rasheed, and Muhammad Owais, son of Gharib Nawaz.
A 9mm pistol, along with a licence, a magazine, two mobile phones, and cash, were recovered from their possession.
The spokesperson said the suspects, along with their accomplices, were involved in several incidents of armed robbery, street crime and motorcycle snatching in Shah Latif Town, Sherpao Colony, Quaidabad and adjoining areas.
During initial interrogation, the accused disclosed that they had looted more than Rs. 5 million through robbery and mugging, and used to sell snatched mobile phones and motorcycles at low prices.
They further revealed that other members of the gang were also involved in the sale and purchase of narcotics in the area.
The spokesperson added that multiple cases had already been registered against Shahmeer Rasheed at different police stations.
Raids were being conducted to apprehend the remaining members of the gang, while the arrested suspects, along with recovered weapons and items, had been handed over to police for further legal proceedings.
