KARACHI, Mar 25 (APP): The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will start in Karachi on March 26, with strict adherence to the government’s national austerity policy. No spectators will be allowed in the stadium, but print and electronic media will be permitted for coverage.
This decision was made during a meeting chaired by Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi to review PSL arrangements.
The meeting decided to provide foolproof security to the players and ensured presence of fire brigade, and health units any un expected for emergencies.
DIG Security Dr. Maqsood Ahmed briefed on security, while DIG Traffic Syed Pir Mohammad Shah outlined traffic and parking arrangements.
Deputy Commissioner East Nasrullah Abbasi briefed about the arrangements saying that all facilitation arrangements are being made in coordination with National Stadium administration and concerned departments.
PCB representative and GM of National Stadium Arshad khan informed that Karachi will host 21 matches, with 5 daytime and night matches. Day matches will start at 2:30 pm, while night matches will start at 7 pm.
