HYDERABAD, Apr 02 (APP):A total of 773 recruits including 215 women passed out at the 186th passing-out parade held at the police training college Shahdadpur, where trainees displayed discipline and professional skills during an impressive ceremony.
Inspector General of Police Sindh Javed Alam Odho attended the event as chief guest and inspected the parade and took the salute.
Addressing the ceremony, the IGP said that Sindh police personnel were fully prepared to safeguard the lives and property of citizens. He added that recruits were being imparted training in line with modern requirements, enabling them to effectively combat terrorism and maintain law and order. He urged that a well trained and modern police force was essential for tackling crime and ensuring public safety.
DIG police training Faizullah Korejo also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the professional capabilities and training standards of the force.
Principal of the training college Zahida Parveen Jamro, in her address, said that recruits were being trained in a conducive environment in accordance with contemporary policing needs to build a modern force. She added that the induction of educated youth into the police would bring innovation and help strengthen ties between the police and the public.
The chief guest distributed awards among recruits who showed outstanding performance. A large number of police officers, personnel and family members of the recruits attended the ceremony.
