IGP Sindh vows strict action against narcotics in Mirpurkhas

Inspector General of Police Sindh, Javed Alam Odho, visited Mirpurkhas and chaired a meeting reviewed the law and order situation, crime rate, and police performance in Mirpurkhas Division, where DIG Faisal Abdullah Chachar briefed the IGP on measures taken to curb crime.

MIRPURKHAS, Apr 2 (APP):Inspector General of Police Sindh, Javed Alam Odho, visited Mirpurkhas and chaired a meeting reviewed the law and order situation, crime rate, and police performance in Mirpurkhas Division, where DIG Faisal Abdullah Chachar briefed the IGP on measures taken to curb crime.

The division has a satisfactory situation, with Quick Response Forces and strengthened patrolling. Targeted operations against criminals are ongoing.

The IGP directed strict action against narcotics, particularly gutka and mawa, under a new strategy. He emphasized improving policing with modern technology and making narcotics cases non-bailable with solid evidence.

Negligence in maintaining law and order won’t be tolerated.Javed Alam Odho stressed prioritizing complaints related to women’s, children’s, minorities’, and transgender persons’ rights. He met with city notables, discussing law and order, crime prevention, and protection of life and property.

The notables assured cooperation with the police for better traffic law implementation, anti-narcotics action, and law and order improvement.

The IGP emphasized community policing to control crimes.The zero-tolerance policy against narcotics is being strictly implemented, Odho stated.
