Governor Tessori supports PM’s decisions, announces donation of 3 months’ salary

Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori said that he fully supports the decisions taken by the Prime Minister and is also ready to donate his three months’ salary. He stated that the Prime Minister’s timely decisions are commendable.

KARACHI, Mar 10 (APP): Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori said that he fully supports the decisions taken by the Prime Minister and is also ready to donate his three months’ salary. He stated that the Prime Minister’s timely decisions are commendable.

Governor Tessori expressed these views while addressing the participants of the 20th Iftar organized under the banner of “Umeed-e-Ramadan” at Governor House during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Deputy Consul General of Germany, Anja Klos, attended the event as the guest of honor. Senior MQM-P leader Dr Farooq Sattar, Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly Ali Khurshidi, members of the assembly, Senior Vice President of PFUJ, Treasurer Rao Wakeel of SPRA, Musa, and other distinguished personalities were also present on the occasion.

During his address, Governor Sindh referred to the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA) and said that the life of Hazrat Ali (RA) is a great example of truth, justice, bravery, and service to humanity. He emphasized that society should promote justice and brotherhood by following his teachings.

Governor Kamran Tessori stated that Allah Almighty is the provider of sustenance and that all human beings are dependent upon Him. He clarified that not a single rupee of government funds is spent on the arrangements for the Iftar or the prizes distributed at the event. He added that practicing moderation is a good virtue and everyone should adopt it.

Governor said that under the public welfare initiatives at Governor House, plots, Umrah tickets, motorcycles, and other prizes are distributed daily through lucky draws. He informed that currently 50,000 students are receiving modern IT courses free of cost at Governor House.

Kamran Tessori said that no one visiting Governor House is ever asked about their ethnicity, and people belonging to every community, religion, and sect participate in these gatherings. He remarked that if it were within his power, he would distribute whatever he possesses among the people. He added that he speaks about providing plots, laptops, and raising awareness among the public.

Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori said that he had been threatened so much that he has now become fearless, and no event at Governor House will take place without the presence of the public. After hearing the account of a citizen during a talk show, he immediately announced the provision of a motorcycle for the individual and also pledged to bear the medical expenses for his mother’s treatment.

Later, the names of Muhammad Jameel, Samreen Zeeshan, Sonia Naveed, Zahida Muhammad Ali, Hameedullah Wasayo, and Seema Bibi were drawn in the lucky draw for sewing machines. The lucky draw for a residential plot in Smart City was conducted by Germany’s Deputy Consul General, in which Jameel Ahmed from Nawabshah was declared the winner.
