The Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI) has issued a mechanism for registered workers to correct their mobile numbers to ensure smooth disbursement of financial assistance under the Chief Minister Ration Card programme.
Workers asked to correct mobile numbers to receive Rs10,000

FAISALABAD, Mar 17 (APP):The Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI) has issued a mechanism for registered workers to correct their mobile numbers to ensure smooth disbursement of financial assistance under the Chief Minister Ration Card programme.
A PESSI spokesman said on Tuesday that the workers registered with Punjab Social Security
who already possess the Ration Card but have incorrect mobile number entries have been advised
to visit nearby branches of the Bank of Punjab, including UBL Omni, HBL Konnect or Alfa Pay
for biometric verification. After verification, they can update their correct mobile number and
easily receive cash assistance.
Similarly, the workers registered with Punjab Social Security who have not yet received the Ration
Card and also have incorrect mobile number records have been directed to visit the nearest Bank
of Punjab branch located near their residence or industrial unit to update their contact details,
he added.
He said that after correction of the mobile number, the workers would receive a six-digit One-Time Password (OTP) on the updated number, enabling them to withdraw their ration amount from nearby branchless banking agents including UBL Omni, HBL Konnect or Alfa Pay.
All registered workers should follow the prescribed procedure and ensure timely correction of their mobile numbers to avoid any inconvenience in receiving Rs10,000 financial assistance under this scheme, he added.
