The University of Sargodha(UoS) on Monday formally administered the oath of office to the newly elected members of its first-ever Alumni Association in a ceremony held at the main campus.

SARGODHA, Mar 16 (APP): The University of Sargodha (UoS) on Monday formally administered the oath of office to the newly elected members of its first-ever Alumni Association in a ceremony held at the main campus.
Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas presided over the event and described the oath as a sacred trust requiring dedication, integrity and transparency.
He highlighted the crucial role alumni play in the growth and reputation of higher education institutions.
The VC shared that the number of registered alumni has risen from 5,000 to over 50,000 under his leadership, while the total number of university graduates now exceeds 500,000.
He also announced a dedicated office for the Alumni Association, along with necessary administrative support, to strengthen alumni engagement and promote innovation.
The newly elected office bearers include President Liaqat Ali, Vice President Fayyaz Minhas, General Secretary Khalid Mahmood, Joint Secretary Ansar Abbas and Information Secretary Atiq-ur-Rehman, who expressed gratitude to the university administration and pledged their full support for the institution’s development.
The ceremony also featured remarks from Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan and other distinguished executive members, including Waqar Ahmed, Muhammad Anwar, Syed Nasir Abbas Bukhari, Dr. Aima Iram Batool, Farrukh Abbas, Hasnain Ashraf, and Dr. Rafiullah.
