UET shows remarkable performance in Global and Asian rankings

LAHORE, Mar 26 (APP):The latest global rankings of engineering universities have been released by QS World University Rankings, in which the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore (UET Lahore) has demonstrated outstanding performance by securing the 201st position worldwide in Engineering and Technology.
Last year, UET Lahore was ranked 205th in the same category. In the 2026 rankings, the university has improved by four positions, reflecting significant academic progress and institutional development.
The UET Lahore has also achieved commendable rankings across various disciplines. In Petroleum Engineering, the university has been placed among the top 51–100 institutions globally. In the broader field of Engineering and Technology, it has maintained its strong standing at 201st position, securing its place among the world’s leading universities.
In subject-wise rankings, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering are ranked between 201–250, while Civil Engineering falls within the 201–275 bracket. Similarly, Materials Science and Chemical Engineering are ranked 301–350, Computer Science 351–400, Mathematics 401–450, and Physics 551–600 globally.
Furthermore, the university has achieved global rankings of 601–650 in Business and Management Sciences and 601–700 in Chemistry, highlighting its multidimensional academic growth and excellence.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahid Munir stated that these achievements are a result of UET Lahore’s strong academic traditions, quality research, and the continuous dedication and hard work of its faculty and students, which are elevating the university’s prestige at both national and international levels.
