Police on Tuesday arrested three alleged drug peddlers and recovered narcotics worth millions of rupees,along with a weapon in separate operations in the district.

GUJRAT, Mar 31 (APP):Police on Tuesday arrested three alleged drug peddlers and recovered narcotics worth millions of rupees,along with a weapon in separate operations in the district.
According to a police spokesperson,the operations were conducted on the directions of District Police Officer (DPO) Rana Umar Farooq under the supervision of DSP Sara-e-Alamgir Circle Dr.Mumtaz Ahmed.
Station House Officer (SHO) city police station Sara-e-Alamgir, Raheel Arif along with his team,carried out raids and arrested two suspects.
Police recovered 1,220 grams of heroin from Muhammad Aqeel,30-bore pistol from Rehman Ali.
In a separate operation,SHO Saddar police station,Sara-e-Alamgir and Aftab Rasool Chauhan arrested another accused,Akhtar Ali and recovered 1220 grams of hashish from his possession.
Police have registered separate cases against the suspects while further investigation was underway.
