Spring flowers brighten key Rawalpindi arteries

RAWALPINDI, Apr 02 (APP): The Horticulture Agency (HA) Rawalpindi has enhanced the city’s visual appeal by decorating green belts along major thoroughfares, particularly Chandni Chowk on Murree Road, Rawal Road and Rawal Chowk, as part of its spring beautification drive.
“The Agency staff have planted colourful seasonal flowers and ornamental plants along these prominent stretches, turning the green belts into vibrant landscapes and providing a refreshing environment for commuters and residents,” an HA spokesman said on Thursday.
Acting on the directives of Managing Director, Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi, Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, teams carried out round-the-clock work to uplift the appearance of the key locations.
The spokesman said the initiative was part of efforts to ensure a clean, green and pleasant environment during the spring season, adding that plantation and horticultural activities were continuing across highways, parks and green belts in the city.
Residents have welcomed the move, saying the floral displays have enhanced the city’s beauty and created a more pleasant atmosphere.
Managing Director Ranjha urged citizens to support the Agency in maintaining the greenery and to help protect plants and flowers to sustain the improved environment.
