LAHORE, Mar 17 (APP):The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), in coordination with police, arrested a suspect involved in a mobile phone snatching incident in Barkat Market using Safe City surveillance.
According to the spokesperson, a motorcyclist snatched a mobile phone from a citizen in the area, after which the victim immediately reported the incident through Emergency Helpline 15.
Upon receiving the alert, a virtual patrolling officer traced the suspect’s movement through Safe City cameras and shared his location with the police teams, leading to his prompt arrest.
The spokesperson said the accused was also wanted in multiple cases across the city, while further investigation is under way.
