Safe City cameras help nab motorcycle theft suspect

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has successfully assisted in apprehending a suspect involved in multiple motorcycles theft and snatching incidents with the help of its integrated security system and smart surveillance cameras.

LAHORE, Mar 19 (APP):The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has successfully assisted in apprehending a suspect involved in multiple motorcycles theft and snatching incidents with the help of its integrated security system and smart surveillance cameras.
According to spokesperson, a Virtual Patrolling Officer deputed at Smart Safe City Sargodha identified a stolen motorcycle through PSCA’s advanced camera network. The suspect’s movement was continuously monitored using modern surveillance system, enabling authorities to track his location in real time.
The spokesperson said Safe Cities Operations Team collected digital evidence from multiple locations and carried out technical analysis to trace the suspect successfully. All relevant video footage and digital proof were immediately shared with the concerned field police authorities. Acting on the information provided by Safe City, the police conducted a timely operation and arrested the suspect.
The spokesperson stated that the accused was involved in several incidents of motorcycles theft, snatching and further investigation is underway in this regard.
The spokesperson added that citizens are advised to immediately call Emergency Helpline-15 in case of any suspicious activity or emergency so that prompt action can be taken in this regard. PSCA remains fully committed to providing immediate assistance to its citizens and ensuring public safety through the use of modern technology and coordinated response.
