Rescue 1122 Murree finalizes medical cover plan for Good Friday, Easter

MURREE, Apr 02 (APP):The Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 Murree has finalised a comprehensive medical cover plan for the Christian community’s religious occasions of Good Friday (April 3) and Easter (April 5).

A Rescue 1122 spokesman said on Thursday the arrangements had been made on the directives of Secretary Emergency Services Dr Rizwan Naseer and Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi.

Under the supervision of the district emergency officer, all rescue stations across the district have been placed on high alert to ensure a prompt and effective response to any emergency situation.

According to rescue sources, special medical cover will be provided at key worship places and public locations, including Holy Trinity Church, St Margaret’s Church and Union Church Murree, where rescue teams will remain on duty during prayers and gatherings.

Under the plan, emergency resources have been deployed at sensitive points, while trained paramedical staff have been assigned alert duty. In addition, the control room has been made operational round the clock to ensure immediate response in case of any emergency.

The spokesman said the service remained fully prepared to safeguard life and property and had taken all possible measures to ensure a safe, peaceful and pleasant environment during the religious festivities.

He urged the public to contact the Rescue 1122 helpline in case of any emergency.
