The session, organised under the vision of the Punjab Chief Minister and directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem, featured lectures by Superintendent of Police Headquarters, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Headquarters, DSP Legal, DSP Admin and other senior officers.

Investigating officers and staff from across the district, including the Elite Force, Traffic Police, Punjab Highway Patrol staff and Lady Police officers, attended the workshop.

A police spokesman said the training focused on improving the behaviour and ethical standards of police personnel, ensuring respect for citizens’ dignity, self-respect and fundamental rights, and addressing the concerns of women, the elderly and children on a priority basis.

The participants were instructed to maintain courteous and professional conduct at police stations, checkpoints and service centres, speak to the public in a calm tone, adhere to standard operating procedures, wear clean uniforms, and deliver services without delay, negligence or irresponsibility.

The workshop highlighted that protecting citizens and providing efficient service remained the foremost responsibility of the police, while fostering trust between law enforcement and the public could be achieved through disciplined and respectful behaviour.
