LAHORE, Apr 03 (APP): To ensure the peaceful conduct of the Christian community’s worship services in Punjab on Good Friday and Easter, the Punjab Safe Cities Authority has made foolproof security arrangements.
According to the Safe Cities spokesperson, arrangements for virtual patrolling and virtual hold-ups have been made during the services in Christian places of worship, effective surveillance has been ensured around churches, main routes and sensitive points, effective and continuous surveillance is being carried out through Safe City cameras at 42 important locations in Lahore.
Safe City control rooms are being monitored 24 hours a day through AI-based technology and modern analytics systems, while immediate alerts and intelligence support are provided to the field force on suspicious activities or unusual movements.
Special monitoring of parks, recreational areas and civic centers is also being done on the occasion of Easter, and intelligent traffic management has also been ensured through Safe City cameras.
The Safe Cities spokesperson has appealed to the citizens to immediately report any suspicious activity on the emergency helpline 15 so that timely action can be taken.
The protection of the lives and property of the citizens through modern technology is the top priority of Safe City and the Christian community in Pakistan is also celebrating its holy festival with religious devotion and respect.
