Punjab govt purchases 144 vehicles for CCD

LAHORE, Mar 27 (APP): The Punjab government has purchased 144 single cabin vehicles for the Crime Control Department (CCD).
According to CCD sources, after purchasing the vehicles, the police sought funds for their fabrication.
The cost of body fabrication of each vehicle was fixed at about Rs 400,000. Rs 57.6 crore is required for body fabrication and installation of lights on all 144 vehicles.
A summary has already been sent to the government by the IG Punjab for the fabrication of the vehicles. The provincial government on Friday has approved funds for the fabrication of CCD vehicles.
