LAHORE, Apr 04 (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Saturday has announced important steps for the protection of farmers and the improvement of the agricultural sector.
According to the Chief Minister, financial assistance will be provided to farmers who have land up to 25 acres cultivating wheat so that their expenses can be reduced.
In addition, it has also been announced to provide a subsidy of Rs 150 per liter on 10 liters of diesel to provide relief to farmers.
Maryam Nawaz said that due to the ongoing global crisis, oil prices are increasing, which is also affecting local farmers.
He assured that the government will stand with the farmers in every difficult time.
In her statement, the Chief Minister said that the farmers of Punjab are the backbone of the country’s economy, and the government will continue to take all possible steps to protect their rights.
