PU faculty members awarded Rs 57m HEC research grants

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has awarded six National Research Program for Universities (NRPU) Research Grants 2026, totaling Rs 57 million, to faculty members of the Punjab University.

LAHORE, Mar 31 (APP):The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has awarded six National Research Program for Universities (NRPU) Research Grants 2026, totaling Rs 57 million, to faculty members of the Punjab University.
According to a PU spokesperson, the grant recipients include Dr Nayab Iftikhar from the Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences; Dr Kausar Malik, Dr. Ayesha Latif, and Dr. Saba Tasneem from the Faculty of Life Sciences; and Dr. Ahsan Sharif and Dr Fauzia Iqbal from the Faculty of Sciences.
The vice chancellor of the University of the Punjab Prof Dr Muhammad Ali, congratulated the award-winning faculty members, appreciating their research contributions and academic excellence, and expressed confidence that these projects would play a vital role in promoting innovation, knowledge creation, and research development across their respective disciplines.
