LAHORE, Mar 31 (APP):The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has reunited a missing special child with his parents after two days using advanced surveillance and digital tracking, a spokesperson said on Tuesday.
According to details, the child, identified as Saim, resident of Millat Park, had gone missing after losing his way and being unable to return home. His parents approached the Virtual Center for Child Safety and shared a blurred image via WhatsApp.
The spokesperson said that despite limited information, the child’s movement was successfully traced through Safe City cameras and intelligent tracking. He was spotted moving from Marghzar Colony towards Secretariat, after which an alert was issued to the concerned police station.
Acting on timely information provided by the Safe City “Mera Pyara” team, police promptly recovered the child and, after verification, handed him over to his parents safely.
The spokesperson said that the “Mera Pyara” initiative has so far reunited over 62,000 missing children and special individuals with their families, adding that the tracing process is being further strengthened through modern surveillance and data-driven systems.
Citizens were urged to report missing persons by calling Emergency Helpline-15 and pressing 3, said spokesperson.
