LAHORE, Apr 06 (APP): The use of modern technology has been accelerated to make the traffic system more effective and transparent, under which an AI-based e-challan system has now been introduced.
Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA) has implemented a new AI-based e-challan system on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, which aims to ensure implementation of traffic laws and bring transparency in the challan process.
According to the PSCA spokesperson, if a citizen is issued a wrong e-challan, a regular review system is also active for its redressal, where the right decision is taken after examining the complaint.
According to statistics, more than 38,000 incorrect e-challans have so far been cancelled, while more than 162,000 citizens have benefited from this review facility.
The authorities have directed citizens to use the review option only in case of genuine complaints, AIas the e-challan will be upheld if a violation is proven.
