Police arrest 119 POs in week-long crackdown

Police arrested 119 proclaimed offenders (POs) and habitual criminals during a district-wide intensive operation over the past week,a police spokesperson said Tuesday.

SARGODHA, Mar 24 (APP): Police arrested 119 proclaimed offenders (POs) and habitual criminals during a district-wide intensive operation over the past week, a police spokesperson said Tuesday.
Following directives from District Police Officer (DPO) Dost Muhammad, police teams targeted individuals involved in various criminal activities to maintain law and order in the district.
Of those arrested,14 belonged to Category A,79 to Category B and 26 were identified as habitual criminals.
The suspects were shifted to police stations across Sargodha, where legal proceedings have been initiated.
The DPO reiterated his commitment to making Sargodha crime-free, emphasizing that the crackdown would continue without discrimination until all outlaws were brought to justice.
“Protecting the lives and property of citizens remains our top priority,” he said, adding that proclaimed offenders have no place in the district.
