The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Monday carried out inspections of 173 food outlets across the district under its ongoing food safety campaign.

GUJRAT, Mar 16 (APP): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Monday carried out inspections of 173 food outlets across the district under its ongoing food safety campaign.
According to a PFA spokesperson,70 outlets were issued improvement notices, while 11 shops were fined Rs.159,000 for violations.
Additionally, two food samples were collected for further testing.
Authorities also confiscated and destroyed 3.2 kilograms of expired and prohibited food items.
Officials said that such operations will continue to ensure the public has access to safe and high-quality food.
