Partly cloudy but warm weather prevails in city

LAHORE, Mar 11 (APP): Partly cloudy but warm weather prevailed in the provincial capital on Wednesday, while the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted similar conditions for the next 24 hours.
According to Met officials, continental air is dominating most parts of the country, keeping temperatures relatively high in the plains. In Lahore, daytime temperatures remained above normal for this time of the season, making the weather feel warmer during afternoon hours.
The Met Office forecast that mainly dry weather is expected to continue in Lahore and most districts of Punjab over the next day. However, partly cloudy conditions may persist at times, particularly during morning and evening hours.
Officials said maximum temperature in the city is likely to hover around 31–33°C, while the minimum temperature may remain between 17–19°C.
Meanwhile, meteorologists indicated that a westerly weather system is likely to affect the upper parts of the country during the coming days, which could bring rain and cooler conditions to northern regions. However, no significant rainfall is expected in Lahore during the next 24 hours.
