WASA Managing Director Aziz Ullah Khan gave a detailed briefing to the parliamentary secretary on water supply and drainage operations in the city, along with the challenges faced by the agency.

During the meeting, discussions were held on upcoming development schemes, with particular focus on assessing the technical and financial viability of projects under the Punjab Development Programme.

The participants stressed the need to ensure sustainable and effective implementation of development projects to improve service delivery.

The meeting also reviewed measures to strengthen the organisation’s financial sustainability, including strategies to enhance revenue generation, while emphasising the need to further improve and expedite the complaint redressal system for timely resolution of public grievances.

Sultan Tariq Bajwa appreciated the efforts of WASA Rawalpindi in providing basic facilities to citizens and underscored the importance of strengthening institutional capacity and infrastructure to further enhance service delivery.

Managing Director Aziz Ullah Khan reaffirmed WASA’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted supply of clean water, improved drainage and efficient infrastructure management, while prioritising revenue growth and prompt resolution of complaints.
