Monitoring of petroleum supply tightened

FAISALABAD, Mar 10 (APP): Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar said that the local administration has intensified monitoring of petroleum supply, demand and stock levels across the district.
He along with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir visited the Pak-Arab
Refinery Company (PARCO) facility where the officials briefed them about the process of supplying
diesel and petrol to Faisalabad and adjoining areas through refinery’s pipeline network.
During visit, the divisional commissioner and deputy commissioner reviewed the stock position
of petroleum products and inspected the control building where they examined the online supply
monitoring system to assess flow of fuel distribution.
Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar said that the administration had continued strict monitoring of petroleum reserves and warned that the authorities would launch strong crackdown against hoarding of petroleum products.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir chaired a meeting to review arrangements for monitoring the supply of petroleum products and compliance with regulatory measures across the district.
Addressing the meeting, the deputy commissioner directed to form joint inspection teams to ensure uninterrupted supply of petrol and diesel throughout the district.
He also ordered 24-hour monitoring of available stock at all petrol pumps to prevent any artificial shortage.
