Man held for attempting travel on fake identity

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a passenger at Allama Iqbal International Airport for attempting to travel to Italy on a fake identity, on Tuesday.

LAHORE, Mar 31 (APP):The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a passenger at Allama Iqbal International Airport for attempting to travel to Italy on a fake identity, on Tuesday.
According to a spokesperson, the accused tried to board flight FZ-360 by impersonating one Muhammad Rehman Tariq. During immigration clearance, officials grew suspicious and conducted further scrutiny.
The investigation revealed that the suspect’s real name was Muhammad Ahsan Tariq, and he was attempting to travel using his brother’s documents. The brother had reportedly sent the travel documents from Italy via mail.
Officials said the accused had previously stayed in Italy from 2016 to 2018 and was well familiar with the Italian language.
The suspect has been shifted to the Anti-Human Smuggling Circle Lahore for further legal action, the spokesperson added.
