LDA seals 79 properties in crackdown on illegal commercial use

The Lahore Development Authority’s Town Planning Wing on Tuesday sealed another 79 properties in its on going operation against illegal commercial buildings and properties defaulting on commercial fees.

LAHORE, Mar 31 (APP): The Lahore Development Authority’s Town Planning Wing on Tuesday sealed another 79 properties in its on going operation against illegal commercial buildings and properties defaulting on commercial fees.
On the directions of Director General LDA Tahir Farooq, the teams, in a large-scale operation carried out across various schemes and LDA-controlled areas, targeted BOR Society, Main GT Road, Shalimar Garden, New Garden Town and Sabzazar.
According to a spokesperson, 19 properties in BOR Society were sealed due to illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees. On Main GT Road and in the Shalimar Garden area, 20 properties were sealed. Meanwhile, 22 properties were sealed in Sher Shah and Aurangzeb Block of New Garden Town.
In a separate recovery operation, LDA teams sealed 18 additional properties in Sabzazar.
The sealed properties include private schools, colleges, pharmacies, clinics, grocery stores, restaurants, food points, clothing shops, property offices, beauty salons, auto workshops, electrical stores, shops, and offices.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Chief Town Planner I Asad uz Zaman and Chief Town Planner II Azhar Ali.
