LDA seals 139 properties in crackdown on illegal commercial buildings
LAHORE, Apr 01 (APP):On the directives of Tahir Farooq,the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Town Planning Wing has intensified operations against illegal commercial buildings across LDA controlled areas.
LDA teams carried out enforcement actions in multiple localities,sealing a total of 139 properties.
The operation targeted areas including Township Lahore,Quaid-e-Azam Town,Gulberg and Model Town Extension.
Further actions were conducted along Main GT Road near Shalimar Gardens,as well as in private housing schemes, Defence Road and Mustafa Town.
According to a spokesperson,25 properties in Township and Quaid-e-Azam Town were sealed due to illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees.
Additional actions included sealing 27 properties on Main GT Road near Shalimar Gardens,15 in private schemes, and 30 on Defence Road.
In Gulberg and Model Town Extension,22 properties were sealed for unauthorized commercial activities.
During a recovery operation,LDA teams also sealed 20 properties in Mustafa Town.
The sealed properties include private banks,marriage halls,schools,bakeries,pharmacies,clinics,grocery stores, restaurants, food outlets, furniture showrooms, property offices,beauty salons,auto workshops,hardware and electrical stores,bookshops,tyre shops,dairy farms,snooker clubs,shops and offices.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Chief Town Planner One Asad-uz-Zaman and Chief Town Planner Two Azhar Ali.
