IGP holds police executive board meeting on reforms, development

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the police executive board (PEB) at the Central Police Office to review key policing reforms, establishment of new police stations and development projects.

LAHORE, Apr 01 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the police executive board (PEB) at the Central Police Office to review key policing reforms, establishment of new police stations and development projects.
The meeting was attended by heads of police formations, Additional IGs, DIGs, AIGs and other senior officers, while some officials participated via video link.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on administrative and policy matters, amendments in rules and proposals related to overall policing. Issues including establishment of new sub-divisions and police stations in various districts, redefinition of jurisdictions and progress on development projects were also reviewed.
Heads of different units presented their proposals and observations on the agenda items.
The IGP directed that effective implementation of administrative decisions be ensured and all development projects be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
He also instructed that proposals discussed in the meeting be further refined and presented in the next session, emphasising the need for regular meetings of the PEB to ensure timely decision-making on important policy matters.
Senior officers from South Punjab, CTD, PHP and other regions attended the meeting through video link, the spokesperson added.
