‘Ghazi’ cops termed valuable assets, pride of the Rawalpindi Police

RAWALPINDI, Mar 31 (APP): The “Ghazi” police and personnel were described as a symbol of courage and resilience at a meeting held at the Police Lines Headquarters in line with the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Abdul Kareem on Tuesday.

‘Ghazi’ cops termed valuable assets, pride of the Rawalpindi Police

During the meeting with the injured cops, senior officers observed that those who had rendered sacrifices in the line of duty were a valuable asset for the Rawalpindi Police.

Senior officers, including Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Regional Officer, Punjab Highway Patrol, Superintendent of Police (SP) CIA, SP Security, SP Headquarters and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Admin, attended the meeting.

They said all possible measures were being taken to ensure the welfare of such personnel, terming them a source of pride for the force.

A Rawalpindi Police spokesman said the initiative formed part of the ongoing “Ghazi Week” being observed across the province to acknowledge the services and sacrifices of police personnel injured in the line of duty.

He said the “Ghazi” personnel included officers and officials who had sustained injuries or disabilities while confronting terrorists, bomb blasts and hardened criminals.

During the session, the issues faced by the injured personnel were discussed in line with the IG Punjab’s vision of prioritising their welfare.
