FWMC intensifies cleanliness drive

FAISALABAD, Mar 20 (APP):The Faisalabad Waste Management Company accelerated its cleanliness operations in the division to provide a clean and hygienic environment during Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 under “Suthra Punjab” program.
A FWMC spokesman said on Friday that sanitation activities have been made more effective, coordinated and swift in urban as well as rural areas to ensure the best possible cleanliness services during the Eid holidays.
Special focus has been placed on maintaining cleanliness at public places, markets, worship places and recreational spots where public gatherings are expected to increase, he added.
He said FWMC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Raoof Ahmad has been conducting visits to various localities to review the sanitation arrangements.
During his recent inspections, he visited Canal Road, Sargodha Road, Peoples’ Colony, Civil Lines, Clock Tower Expressway and Jhang Road where he checked the performance of field teams and overall cleanliness situation.
He directed all district managers to ensure strict monitoring of field staff and emphasized that the performance of monitoring officers should also be evaluated to maintain high standards.
He said that providing the best cleanliness facilities to citizens during Eid-ul-Fitr remained the top priority of the company.
