FAISALABAD, Mar 12 (APP): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) organized a special awareness briefing at its zonal office in Faisalabad to educate citizens about the dangers of human smuggling, visa fraud and common reasons for passenger off-loading at airports, urging the travelers to rely only on legal channels for overseas employment and travel.
Officials from the FIA Faisalabad Zone said that the session helped raise public awareness about various issues faced by the people seeking employment abroad and protect them from falling victim to fraudulent visa agents and human traffickers.
During briefing, the participants were informed that many aspiring travelers suffer heavy financial losses after trusting fake agents who promise overseas jobs and visas through illegal means including the risky “Dunki” route used by human smugglers.
The citizens were advised to obtain visas only through authorized and registered sources and avoid making payments to unregistered or illegal agents.
FIA officials also provided detailed guidance regarding general off-loading at airports, explaining that passengers could be stopped from travelling if their documents were incomplete, their travel purpose appeared suspicious or if immigration rules were violated. The travelers were therefore urged to ensure that all documents were complete and accurate before departure.
The officials emphasized that FIA was continuing strict action against the elements involved in human smuggling, visa fraud and the use of forged travel documents.
The citizens were encouraged to immediately report any suspicious activity or fraudulent practices to the agency.
