Danyal inaugurates Sui gas pipeline, vows relief amid energy challenges

RAWALPINDI, Mar 27 (APP): Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry on Friday inaugurated a newly completed Sui gas pipeline in Chaklala Scheme-III, terming it a step towards providing relief to citizens amid ongoing global energy challenges.
Addressing the ceremony, he said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was taking effective measures to mitigate the impact of the international energy crisis and ensure uninterrupted supply of essential utilities.
He said rising tensions involving Iran, Israel and the United States had exacerbated the global gas and electricity situation, affecting supply chains and driving up prices, and the government had adopted a comprehensive strategy to tackle those challenges through prudent policies.
The parliamentary secretary said no political leader was above Pakistan and any attempt to harm the country’s dignity was unacceptable. Elements running such campaigns against the state and their facilitators had been exposed.
He said Pakistan had played a constructive role as a mediator in the Middle East and its diplomatic efforts were being recognised globally. Both the prime minister and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir had strengthened the country’s diplomatic standing.
He expressed regret over an incident in Geneva, alleging that a speech by a son of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder had negatively affected Pakistan’s global image. He criticised the party for opposing the International Monetary Fund’s assistance in the past and now attempting to undermine Pakistan’s GSP Plus status, terming such actions against the national interest.
Highlighting development initiatives, he said the government was fully committed to ensuring provision of basic amenities at the doorstep of citizens, adding that projects were being completed on time with quality and without delay.
He said ongoing schemes in his constituency were being personally monitored to ensure tangible benefits for the public.
