FAISALABAD, Mar 28 (APP): City Traffic Police (CTP) intensified crackdown against motorcyclists riding without helmets and took legal action against more than 120,000 violators during the first three months of the current year.
A CTP spokesperson said operations were underway across the city to ensure compliance with traffic rules and regulations to protect lives of road users.
He said that enforcement actions are being carried out without discrimination as part of a broader campaign to promote road safety and apprehended more than 120,000 violators during last three months.
Special teams had been deployed in all traffic circles and sectors which are actively monitoring major roads and highways to ensure adherence to helmet regulations, he added.
Emphasizing the importance of road safety, he said that wearing helmet is not merely a legal requirement but is a critical measure for protecting human life.
