Court summons witnesses in fake video case

LAHORE, Mar 10 (APP):A local court on Tuesday summoned prosecution witnesses in a case pertaining to the alleged circulation of a fake video of Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari on social media.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo conducted the hearing of the case.
During the proceedings, accused Falak Javed was produced before the court from jail and his attendance was marked.
The court directed the prosecution to present its witnesses at the next hearing so their statements could be recorded. The hearing was adjourned until March 24.
The case was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency against Falak Javed and other suspects.
Earlier, the court had rejected a request to record Azma Bokhari’s statement through a video link. The provincial minister has challenged that decision before the Sessions Court.
