Chilly weather returns to Rawalpindi

A noticeable drop in temperature in Rawalpindi towards the end of the holy month of Ramazan has brought a pleasant chill to the city, making daily routines easier for citizens, especially those observing fasts.

RAWALPINDI, Mar 19 (APP):A noticeable drop in temperature in Rawalpindi towards the end of the holy month of Ramazan has brought a pleasant chill to the city, making daily routines easier for citizens, especially those observing fasts.

The cooler weather, also affected by consecutive light downpours during last two days, has provided relief from earlier warm conditions, with residents saying that fasting hours have become more manageable while markets have witnessed increased activity as shoppers comfortably prepare for Eid.

Talking to APP, several citizens said the improved weather had made it easier to move around in bazaars and complete Eid shopping without fatigue. “The weather has turned quite pleasant, which has made fasting and shopping much easier,” a shopper said.

According to weather data, the current temperature in the city is hovering around 14°C with partly cloudy conditions, adding to the overall comfort.

Meteorological forecasts suggest that the weather is expected to remain mild over the next few days, with daytime temperatures likely to stay between 23°C and 26°C, while nights may remain cooler. This would make the Eid a more joyful day, particularly for the commuters.

Experts say such fluctuations are typical during the transition from winter to spring, often bringing short spells of cooler weather before temperatures gradually rise again.

Meanwhile, citizens have welcomed the return of cooler conditions, terming it a ‘pleasant change’ after intermittent warm spells earlier in the month.

The weather has not only enhanced the Ramazan experience but also revived the traditional hustle and bustle of markets, as people throng shopping centres in the evenings to make Eid preparations in a more comfortable environment.
