LAHORE, Mar 25 (APP):Tenders opening for the Chief Minister’s Punjab Development Program (PDP) have begun. The bids opened in front of contractors and media representatives during a ceremony held on the lawn of the Town Hall.
Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique reviewed the process of bidding for construction schemes.
Secretary Local Government Shakeel Ahmed Mian and Project Director Ahmer Kaifi were also present.
The minister met the bidders one by one. The contractors expressed satisfaction over the transparent process of bidding saying that, “They have never seen such a transparent opening in their lives.”
Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafique said that bids for 94 packages worth Rs.60 billion were opened today. He said that transparent governance is the hallmark of the government of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. “Like the Lahore Development Program, the PDP will also be completely transparent. Alhamdulillah, I did not see a single bidder complain today”, he added.
