An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday granted a 10-day physical remand of proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) leader Farooq-ul-Hassan in a case related to violence against police and arson, accepting a police request for further investigation.

LAHORE, Mar 24 (APP):An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday granted a 10-day physical remand of proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) leader Farooq-ul-Hassan in a case related to violence against police and arson, accepting a police request for further investigation.
Police produced Farooq-ul-Hassan before the court and requested a 30-day physical remand, stating that he had remained a proclaimed offender for several months before his recent arrest. Investigators argued that additional custody was required to complete the investigation.
Judge Shahid Sikandar heard the plea and approved a 10-day physical remand instead of the 30 days sought by police.
The court directed investigators to produce the accused again on April 4.
According to police, the case was registered by Nawan Kot police station over allegations of violence against police personnel, arson and vandalism.
