ATC awards 7-year jail term in explosives recovery case

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday handed down seven years of rigorous imprisonment to a man after convicting him in a case related to the recovery of explosive materials.

LAHORE, Mar 27 (APP):An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday handed down seven years of rigorous imprisonment to a man after convicting him in a case related to the recovery of explosive materials.
ATC Judge Shahid Sikandar announced the verdict at the conclusion of trial proceedings, sentencing Umar Gul Khan and ordering the confiscation of all movable and immovable properties of the convict in favor of the state.
During the proceedings, the prosecution presented evidence against the accused, after which the court convicted him after finding the charges proven.
According to the prosecution, the convict belongs to Waziristan, and explosive material was recovered from his possession at the time of arrest.
The Counter Terrorism Department in Lahore had registered the case against Umar Gul Khan in 2024, alleging that he was affiliated with a banned organization and involved in terrorist activities.
