RAWALPINDI, Mar 31 (APP): Rawalpindi health authorities has finalized preparations for a week-long National Anti-Polio Campaign from April 13 to 19, aimed at protecting children against polio.
During the drive, vaccination teams will visit households across the district to administer oral polio vaccine (OPV) to children aged less than 5 years.
The systematic maneuver of the devised plan by the District Health Authority includes door to door, fixed health points and transit hubs where polio teams will be available for vaccine administration.
Health officials are urging parents in Rawalpindi to cooperate fully with vaccinators and ensure every child receives the drops.
The campaign seeks to maintain high immunity levels and prevent any resurgence of the virus in the region. Parents have been advised to keep children available at home during the drive.
