22 killed, 1,734 injured in road accidents across Punjab

The Punjab’s Emergency Services Department, commonly known as Rescue 1122, reported 1,479 road traffic crashes across the province in the last 24 hours, leaving 22 dead and 1,734 injured.

LAHORE, Apr 03 (APP): The Punjab’s Emergency Services Department, commonly known as Rescue 1122, reported 1,479 road traffic crashes across the province in the last 24 hours, leaving 22 dead and 1,734 injured.
According to the spokesperson on Friday, rescue teams shifted 791 seriously injured to hospitals, while 933 with minor injuries were treated on site.
Lahore recorded the highest incidents with 252 crashes affecting 304 people, followed by Faisalabad and Multan. Victims included 982 drivers, 70 underage drivers, 193 pedestrians, and 571 passengers. Vehicles involved ranged from motorbikes and cars to buses, trucks, and rickshaws.
Rescue Punjab urged strict traffic rule compliance and lane discipline to reduce accidents and protect lives.
