Yaum-e-Ashur observed amid tight security in Jhang

JHANG, Sep 21 (APP)::Yaum-e-Ashur was observed with religious
solemnity in the district amid tight security on Friday.
As many as 240 mourning processions were taken out from
the district and Majalis were also held at 150 places.
All mourning processions concluded peacefully.
The main mourning procession of the city started
from Imambargah Gohar Shah and several other processions
joined it which concluded at Imambargah Bulaq Shah.
Meanwhile, the district police made foolproof
security arrangements for the procession. All entry points
were sealed and every participant was properly searched
before allowing to join the procession.
The route of the procession was repeatedly checked by the
bomb disposal squad and close circuit cameras were also
installed.
Deputy Commissioner Hafiz Shokat Ali and DPO Shakir Hussain
Dawer also visited routes of the procession in the city.
