ISLAMABAD, Jan 14 (APP):The District and Session Courts Islamabad Wednesday adjourned the hearing in the case related to a disputed tweet filed against Iman Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha.
The case was taken up by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka.
The court was informed that the Islamabad Bar Association was observing a strike, due to which regular court work could not be carried out. As a result, the court postponed the proceedings without taking any substantive action on the case.
During the hearing, Hadi Ali Chatha appeared before the court. However, due to the absence of lawyers following the strike call, arguments could not be presented and the case did not move forward.
After noting the situation, the court adjourned the hearing until January 15. The judge directed that the matter be listed again on the next date for further proceedings.
The case has been registered by the National Cyber Investigation Agency (NCIA). According to court records, the agency lodged the case in connection with a tweet shared on social media, which is under review by the authorities.
