ISLAMABAD, Apr 06 (APP):The lower court of Islamabad on Monday extended the physical remand of suspects arrested in the murder case of trader Amir Awan, sending them back to police custody for four more days and setting April 10 as the next hearing date.
The case was heard by Judicial Magistrate Hafeez Ahmed. The suspects were produced in court after completing their initial five-day physical remand.
During the hearing, police requested an additional eight-day remand, stating that the weapon used in the crime and stolen items linked to the case are yet to be recovered from the suspects.
After reviewing the request, the court approved a four-day extension instead of the full period sought by the police. The judge directed investigators to produce the suspects again on April 10.
The court then adjourned the hearing until the next date.
The case relates to the killing of trader Amir Awan and has been registered at Shahzad Town Police Station in Islamabad.
