Secretary Information & PIO congratulate newly elected body of RIUJ

ISLAMABAD, Jan 28 (APP): Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Ashfaq Ahmed Khalil, and Principal Information Officer (PIO), Mobashir Hassan, have extended their heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected office bearers of the Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) on their victory in the recent elections.
Both the officials, in a news statement, felicitated Asif Bashir Chaudhry on his election as President, Bashir Usmani as General Secretary, and Izhar Khan Niazi as Finance Secretary.
They also conveyed their best wishes to Vice Presidents Tauseef Abbasi and Rasheed Malik, as well as Joint Secretaries Raja Imran Janjua and Rana Farhan Aslam.
The Federal Secretary and the PIO lauded the role of the RIUJ, stating that the union plays a vital part in protecting the collective interests of the journalistic community. They expressed high hopes that the newly elected leadership would take effective steps toward resolving the issues faced by journalists.
The officials said that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is dedicated to the welfare of journalists and the promotion of press freedom. They assured the newly elected body of the Ministry’s continued support in fostering a conducive environment for media professionals.
The Federal Secretary and the PIO wished the successful candidates a productive and impactful tenure in their respective roles.
